    Description

    Ironwood... deep rich color, hard polished wood, animal themed carvings indigenous to Mexico.  This hand carved sculpture features a penguin, wings outstretched, head turned in curious observation.  This little one measures just 5" high.  The base is carved in natural fashion to depict a rock for the penguin to stand on.  Beautiful rich color and smooth polished finish, this carving reflects high craftsmanship.  Coming from Mexico, this sculpture is an example of the indigenous ironwood artwork found there.
